Recently, churches in Australia declared that they would set aside 7 days of fasting and prayer for the United States. Other nations will be joining them -- this will begin simultaneously in every time zone worldwide, and our starting time is at 6pm (CST) on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
Consequently, Spoken Word Fellowship will be gathering Thursday, April 30th at 5:45pm, so that we are ready to join the others when the intercession begins at 6pm, local time (the US East Coast will begin at 7pm, the West Coast at 4pm, Canberra, Australia will be starting a 9am, May 1st). Our plan is to "tithe" the prayer for 2.4 hours -- in other words, we will be interceding until approximately 8:30pm.
Should you decide to fast as well, it can take any form that is meaningful to you -- food, sweets, television or other entertainment -- anything that would hinder you from focusing on the goal, which is to return America to its Biblical foundation, or anything that could hinder you from your personal goal of drawing closer to the Lord.
Building on George Washington's inauguration, which took place in 1789, the goal is to have at least 1789 churches in America hold a service like this.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says that if we, as a people, "repent, and seek His face", He will hear from Heaven and heal our land. We need to take these next 7 days very seriously, because, if we do, I believe our nation will be restored to its Godly roots.
Please join us, in person on Thursday April 30th, if you are anywhere in the Milwaukee area, and let us unite as one Body, and make God's desire ours!
